Mounting, balancing, rotation, TPMS, and inspection for all commercial vehicle tires. Fleet tire management programs that maximize tire life and minimize cost per mile.
Tires are the single most important safety component on a commercial vehicle — they're the only contact between 80,000 pounds and the road. CTR provides complete tire service with the equipment, expertise, and documentation that fleet operations require.
From mounting and balancing to TPMS service and fleet tire management programs, we handle every aspect of commercial tire care. Our tire inspections include multi-point tread depth measurement, wear pattern analysis, and remaining service life projections.
Located on Armentrout Drive directly off I-85 at Exit 58. Easy truck access for any size commercial vehicle.
Commercial-grade changers, balancers, and TPMS tools.
Every inspection verifies FMCSA tire requirements.

Commercial-grade tire changers for truck and trailer wheels up to 24.5" rim diameter. Proper bead seating, lubrication, inflation procedures, and rim inspection during every change.
Center, shoulder, one-sided, cupping, or feathering patterns indicate inflation, alignment, or suspension issues.
Steering wheel or cab vibration indicates imbalance, flat spots, or tire defects. Steer tires most noticeable.
Below 4/32" steer or 2/32" other positions is a DOT violation and out-of-service condition.
Cuts, bulges, or exposed cords in the sidewall indicate structural damage. Blowout risk.
Tires that consistently lose pressure have slow leaks from punctures, valve stems, or bead sealing issues.
Duals with more than 4/32" tread difference cause drag, heat, and accelerated wear on the shorter tire.
| Position | Min Depth | Pull At | Pressure |
|---|---|---|---|
| Steer | 4/32" | 6/32" | 100–120 PSI |
| Drive | 2/32" | 4/32" | 90–110 PSI |
| Trailer | 2/32" | 4/32" | 90–110 PSI |
Pressure set to manufacturer spec for actual axle load, not max sidewall pressure.
Tire deficiencies are among the most common out-of-service violations during DOT inspections. Proper tire maintenance isn't just about safety — it directly impacts fuel efficiency, vehicle handling, and operating cost per mile.
Underinflation causes the vast majority of preventable blowouts. A tire 20% underinflated loses 30% of its tread life and increases fuel consumption. Check pressures cold, set to load specification.
Mismatched duals (>4/32" difference) cause the shorter tire to be dragged. This generates heat, accelerates wear, and wastes fuel. Match duals at every service.
Every abnormal wear pattern has a specific cause — inflation, alignment, suspension, or brakes. Reading patterns correctly prevents repeat tire damage and identifies underlying issues.
Quality retreads from reputable manufacturers cost 30–50% less than new tires with comparable mileage. Safe for drive and trailer positions. Not permitted on steer axles of power units.
